Sheringham Town Council (STC) is headed up by the Town Clerk who is responsible for 16 unpaid Members (Councillors) and the team of Officers who are based at the Sheringham Community Centre.

Recognised as the first tier of local government, Members are responsible for raising taxes through a precept each year to cover local services and community projects. This is managed and developed through a committee system, with each committee reporting back to Full Council.

STC has overall responsibility for some aspects of Sheringham life and also represents the interests of our community by working with the key decision makers at North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) and Norfolk County Council (NCC).
