Its been a time of change st STC with a new recently elected Mayor, Peter Ratcliffe, and Deputy Mayor, Sue Brisbane, who are both committed to making a positive difference to the town. We also welcome three new Councillors, Jon Dorey, Richard Shepherd and Jeremy Stubbs – this means that we now have our full complement of 16 councillors working to serve the town. In addition, we are joined by our new Town Clerk, Ben Bix, who leads our staff team and is a vital part of the work of the Town Council.
As well as these changes in personnel, we are pleased to announce that we are holding the first of our Councillor Surgeries on Thursday 22nd July 5-7pm in Oddfellows Hall, 4 Lifeboat Plain, Sheringham. We hope you will come along and talk to your Councillors about any concerns you have about the town or just pop in and meet us for a chat. We will be joined by Sheringham District and County Councillors, so we will be able to address a range of issues covering different aspects of the town. This will be the first of monthly surgeries to be held in various locations in Sheringham – dates and venues to be announced in next month’s column. We are keen to meet residents and find out your views about the town and the things that matter most to you so please get in touch by phone or email. You will find all councillors’ details on the STC website, and you can contact the STC Office on 01263 822213 or firstname.lastname@example.org
The next Full Council meeting is on Tuesday 20th July at 7:30pm at Sheringham Community Centre. The attendance of the public is most welcome, you will find the agenda on our noticeboards located at the Community Centre and Otterndorf Green and on our website sheringhamtowncouncil.gov.uk from Thursday 15th July.
