Full Council Meetings

Full Council Meetings

Meetings of the full council are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 7.30 in the council chamber at Sheringham Town Hall. Additional meetings can be held on other nights, but the location, time and date must be on the agenda and circulated with at least 3 clear days notice.

Meetings are open to the public, unless their presence is prejudicial to the public interest. This could be by reason of the confidential nature of the business being transacted or for other special reasons.

The public’s exclusion from part, or all of a meeting, is by a resolution passed by the council at the meeting, giving a reason for the public’s exclusion.

Members of the public may make representations, answer questions and give evidence at a meeting which they are entitled to attend, but only in respect of the business on the agenda.

The period of time designated for public participation at a meeting shall not exceed 15 minutes, unless directed by the Chairman of the meeting.
